Faculty/Course Reserves
Reserve items are placed at the information desk by a faculty member for use by his or her students.
They are filed under the instructor's name. Faculty members may check out a reserve item as needed.
Students who wish to check out a reserve item must present a valid ID card. Restricted reserve items are for use in the library only,
and the library will hold the student's ID card until the item is returned. One day reserves may be checked out and taken out of
the library but are due back the next day. They may not be renewed and a fine of $2.00 per day is charged if they are not
returned before closing time the day after they are checked out.
To see a list of items on reserve, click on
link on the catalog page. You may search under your professor's name to see what materials are on reserve for your class.
Notice Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions
The copyright laws of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) govern the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.
Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specific conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
