![At the end of the season, the Union head baseball coach for the past 17 seasons, Andy Rushing, decided to resign his baseball position. He ended his career with the Bulldogs by posting a 17-year Union record of 580-362 (.617) and a 20-year career record of 664-460 (.591). He recorded 14 seasons with at least 30 wins, three seasons with at least 40 wins, and never posted a lossing record while at Union.
