Crime Statistics

This report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes* that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by 51社区; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. You can obtain a copy of this report by contacting the Office of Safety and Security or by using this web site.

NOTE: 51社区 is required, pursuant to the Federal Student Right to Know and Campus Security Act of 1990 (20 USCS § 1092), to prepare, publish, and distribute an annual security report containing information with respect to the campus security policies and campus crime statistics of the institution. To comply with this Federal requirement, the 51社区 Office of Safety & Security publishes various crime awareness and campus security brochures and reports. Security Act Information

The Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990 and the Tennessee Code SS 49-7-2201, et.seq., College and University Security Information Act require that each institution of higher education report to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on an annual basis, statistics for crimes occurring on campus and in student housing.

Students are requested to report any crime or suspected crime on campus to the Office of Safety and Security where an official written report will be completed.

Any student, Union employee or applicant for admission or employment, may review, during regular office hours, the 51社区 Safety and Security Report and campus crime statistics. Copies are also available in the Office of Safety and Security.

* Statistics contained within the attached crime reports reflect all reported incidents regardless of whether or not the incident was adjudicated by the institution or a court of law.
