SAC Traditions
Welcome Fest
During Welcome Week, Student Activities Council hosts Welcome Fest for all incoming students. Students have the opportunity to eat good food, play on inflatables, and enjoy the festivities. It is the perfect time for Freshmen to make friends and relax at the end of a long week; because in SAC we know the community is everything.
Be Our Guest
Be Our Guest brings faculty, staff, and students together for a home-cooked meal. Faculty and staff open their homes, cook dinner and spend an evening with a group of students who sign up for the night. Faculty and staff enjoy this time just as much as students. Everyone treasures these intentional times together and considers it a favorite.
Homecoming Hullabaloo
What's a Hullabaloo? A loud noise, commotion, or a fuss. SAC host a fall concert each year as an opportunity for students to get off campus enjoy live music, and amazing fall treats. Students will enjoy fall treats such as cobbler, hot chocolate, apple nachos, and a variety of food trucks. Previous musicians include Davis Smith, Jordy Searcy, Carver Commodore, and Cooper the Band.
Carl Perkins Christmas Party
Each December, SAC hosts a Christmas extravaganza for children involved with the local Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse. Organizations, departments, groups and friends sponsor the children and spend the evening eating dinner, making crafts and opening gifts with the children. The Union community loves the opportunity to serve together and spend time with these wonderful children from our local area.
Variety Show
No doubt the largest student-led event on campus all year, Variety Show highlights student talent in the fullest sense. Students in small and large group categories perform many types of talent, and they wow the audience with dance, song, creativity and more. This is an evening you will not want to miss!

Bingo Night
During the cold month of February SAC invites all current students inside for an epic night of themed BINGO. Beware, this isn't your grandma's BINGO night; over $1400 worth of prizes are handed out over the course of the evening. This event fills fast so we always recommend getting there early! It is held in the Chapel.
Midnight Movie
Every month, SAC partners with a local movie theatre to provide low-cost movies to our Union students. This is a beloved Union activity and we almost always sell out the theatre. In prior years, we've shown movies such as Avatar 2, Puss in Boots, and The Princess Bride. Because this event is held off campus, we encourage carpooling. Tickets are sold online and outside the Student Dining Hall a few days in advance of the showing.
