Alpha Chi
Alpha Chi is a national honor society and a member of the Association of College Honor Societies. Union鈥檚 Tennessee Beta Chapter is the second oldest in the state. Membership is open to approximately the top ranking 10% of the junior and senior classes.

Alpha Delta Sigma
Alpha Delta Sigma is the national honor society that recognizes and encourages scholastic achievement in advertising studies.

Alpha Mu Alpha
Alpha Mu Alpha is the national marketing honorary for qualified undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral marketing students, and marketing faculty. Under the auspices of the AMA (American Marketing Association), a selected advisory committee of marketing educators designed the recognition program to acknowledge outstanding scholastic achievement on a highly competitive basis. The objective of Alpha Mu Alpha is to recognize marketing students with outstanding scholastic achievement.

Alpha Psi Omega
This national dramatic fraternity was founded at Fairmont State College, Fairmont, West Virginia, on August 12, 1925. The local chapter, Beta Mu, is composed of students who have been members of the 51社区 Players and have earned a set number of points, awarded for dramatic work. The chapter seeks to develop dramatic talent, to cultivate a taste for the best in drama, and to foster cultural dramatics.

Beta Beta Beta
Union's chapter of Beta Beta Beta is the Kappa Alpha Kappa Chapter and was officially installed by the national office in 2011. Beta Beta Beta (TriBeta) is an honor society for students, particularly undergraduates, dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research. Students on Union's campus are required to be a Biology major (any concentration) or minor and have a minimum 3.30 overall GPA and a 3.00 in the biological sciences.

Beta Gamma Sigma
The mission of the International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to foster personal and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members.
The mission is supported by the five objectives of the Society. These include the following:
1. Encourage and honor high academic achievement by students of business and management through chapters in business programs accredited by AACSB International.
2. Foster in Beta Gamma Sigma members an enduring commitment to the founding principles and values of the Society; honor and integrity, pursuit of wisdom, and earnestness.
3. Support the advancement of business thought and practice to encourage lifelong learning.
4. Enhance the value of Beta Gamma Sigma for students and alumni members in their professional lives.
5. Advance the visibility and reputation of Beta Gamma Sigma.

Honors Student Association
The Honors Student Association is the extra-curricular arm of the Honors Community. It is charged with the support and nurture of the Honors Community through sponsorship of game nights, potluck meals, cultural event trips, and end-of-semester celebrations.

Kappa Delta Pi
Kappa Delta Pi is an international honorary society for undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty in education. The purpose of the chapter is to promote excellence in and recognize outstanding contributions to education.

Kappa Mu Epsilon
Kappa Mu Epsilon is a national mathematics honor society. The Tennessee Gamma Chapter was chartered at 51社区, May 24, 1965. Eligibility for membership is acquired by having completed at least three mathematics courses, including Calculus I, with a high grade point average. The chapter organizes programs pertaining to topics of interest in mathematics and in mathematical issues within the sciences.

Omicron Delta Epsilon
Omicron Delta Epsilon seeks to confer distinction for high scholastic achievement in economics and to stimulate and promote student interest in all aspects of economics.

Phi Alpha
Phi Alpha, Eta Phi chapter, is the National Honor Society for Social Work students which fosters high standards of education for social workers and welcomes membership to those who have attained excellence in scholarship and achievement in social work. BSW majors with an overall GPA of at least 3.4 and a social work GPA of at least 3.7 are eligible to become members prior to enrollment in Field Practicum. Graduate students with an overall GPA of 3.8 are eligible upon successful completion of SW-690 Field III, and upon faculty approval.

Phi Alpha Theta
The Delta Psi Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, an International Honor Society in History, was founded in 1953 making it the 119th chapter in the society and the first in the state of Tennessee. Students who have had twelve semester hours of history and who have a minimum GPA of 3.1 in history and 3.0 in two-thirds of the remainder of their work are eligible.

Phi Theta Kappa Alumni Association seeks to promote the continued academic excellence of Phi Theta Kappa members and to promote the growth of the Phi Theta Kappa alumni association at 51社区.

Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society
Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society elects outstanding juniors and seniors to membership on the basis of musicianship and scholarship.

Pi Sigma Alpha
Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, was founded in 1920 at the University of Texas to bring together students and faculty interested in the study of politics and government. The local chapter, Alpha Epsilon Omicron, is composed of juniors and seniors who have completed 10 hours of Political Science with an average grade of B or higher and has a GPA that places them in the top one-third of their class. The organization's primary purpose is to stimulate scholarship and intelligent interest in politics.

Psi Chi
Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in Psychology founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology. Membership is open to majors who have completed 3 semesters, including 9 semesters hours in PSY courses with a CUM GPA of 3.0 and PSY GPA of 3.5.

Sigma Tau Delta
This national English honor society recognizes students who have realized accomplishments in either the English language or literature. The motto is 鈥淪incerity, Truth, Design.鈥 51社区鈥檚 chapter Theta Omicron was organized in 1979. Declared English majors and minors who have completed at least three semesters of university study and two university courses in literature with a B average are eligible for membership.

Sigma Theta Tau
Nu Lambda is a chapter of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International. The vision of Sigma Theta Tau International is to create a global community of nurses who lead in using knowledge, scholarship, service and learning to improve the health of the world鈥檚 people. Membership is open to baccalaureate students who have completed one-half of the upper division nursing curriculum, have achieved a 3.0 GPA, and rank in the top 35% of their class. Membership is open to graduate students who have achieved a 3.5 GPA or greater and completed 10 hours or more in graduate studies. After graduation students continue their membership in the society as alumni and members of the nursing discipline.

The Rho Chi Society
The Rho Chi Society is the Pharmacy National Honor Society; the mission of the Society is to encourage and recognize excellence in intellectual achievement, foster fellowship, encourage high standards of conduct and character and advocate critical inquiry in pharmacy. Students academically ranking in the top ten percent of their class are eligible for membership.
