Request for Interpreter

It is the student or visitor's responsibility to request interpreter services. For further information on interpreting or captioning services, please contact the Director for Disability Services at 731-661-6520 or email at ods@uu.edu.

To make an interpreter request for a specific course or event, students should complete this form and submit to the Office of Disability Services with as much notice as possible; at least two weeks advance notice is needed. Although attempts will be made to honor requests made on short notice, requests which do not allow two weeks advance notice increase the possibility that interpreter services will be unavailable. Interpreting requests are for 51社区 programs and services only. Please contact the Director for clarification on what is considered a 51社区 program and what is considered a personal service.

Event Information

All requests must be received by the Office of Disability Services at least two weeks prior to an event (requests submitted after that time will be filled as interpreters are available.) Changes and cancellations of requests should be made at least two business days prior to an event. Failure to notify Disability Services via email (ods@uu.edu) of a change or cancellation may result in a delay or inability to provide interpreting services. Submitting this form does not obligate the university to fund the interpreting services, instead this decision is made based on Federal Law and ADA compliance guidelines.
