JACKSON, Tenn.Oct. 7, 2020 — The 51社区 Players will present "Twelfth Night," a Shakespeare in the Park production, on the Great Lawn Oct. 8-13.

The play will take place on an open-air stage assembled by members of Union's theater. Guests are encouraged to bring their masks, chairs, blankets and snacks, and social distancing will be in place. The director of the play is John Klonowski, associate professor of theater.

Shakespeare鈥檚 鈥淭welfth Night鈥 is a romantic comedy about twins Viola and Sebastian who are separated in a shipwreck. Viola believes her brother is dead, so she dresses as a boy to work for a duke and ends up in a complicated love triangle. Things become more complicated when her twin brother shows up.

Show times are at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 8-9 and Oct. 12-13; at 2 p.m. Oct. 10-11; and an additional 6 p.m. showing on Oct. 10. Admission is $3 for Union students; $5 for faculty, staff, alumni and senior citizens; and $7 for the general public. Tickets are available for purchase at uu.edu/theatre.
