Caden Greene
Doctor of Pharmacy Student, Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Caden Greene's journey to 51社区 began with stories from friends and family who were alumni, as well as his own experience attending FUGE camp with his church. Wanting a college experience rooted in a strong Christian community, Caden felt that Union was the perfect fit for his next chapter.
As a PharmD student, Greene spends much of his time in science and health care classes, but he recognizes how Union has provided more than just academic preparation.
鈥淯nion does a great job of building students up into becoming well rounded beyond just the classroom,鈥 he said.
In his time at Union, friends, teachers and other student leaders have invested in Greene, and their mentoring makes him want to do the same for other students.
鈥淎t Union, you are going to be invested in. From faculty, from peers, from church leaders, you are going to be built up,鈥 Greene said.
Greene has been a student body ambassador for the Student Government Association, a freshmen council mentor, a resident assistant and a member of Greek life on campus. All these experiences, which he recognizes as significant opportunities, have given him the chance to grow his leadership skills.
鈥淚 feel like I鈥檓 set up for success in whatever area I find myself in after college,鈥 he said.
Union is known as a place where faith and knowledge unite, and Green said in nearly all his classes, he has encountered new perspectives as professors challenged him to be the best he can be, both mentally and spiritually.
鈥淔or someone who wants to grow in their faith, be challenged academically to be the best you can be, serve through leadership and have a ton of fun while doing it all, Union is the canvas on which that can happen,鈥 he said.
Although he has a busy academic schedule, Greene finds time to have fun, too. He admits that currently his number one hobby is pickleball. He also uses some of his free time to serve in the youth group at West Jackson Baptist Church.
After graduation, Greene hopes to return to Middle Tennessee and find work in that area.
Greene encourages students to find a school that is grounded in biblical truth.
鈥淲hatever your aspirations are after college,鈥 Greene said, 鈥測our career, calling, and ultimately, your life are the Lord鈥檚, and every good thing that can come of that is from him.鈥
