Union is one of 138 institutions The Princeton Review recommends in its 鈥淏est in the Southeast鈥 section of its website feature, 鈥2014 Best Colleges: Region by Region,鈥 that posted Aug. 5 on PrincetonReview.com.
In the profile of Union on its site, The Princeton Review describes the university as 鈥渁n institution of higher learning grounded in a Christian world and life view.鈥

Institutions chosen for this recognition must pass The Princeton Review鈥檚 standards for academic excellence based on data collected in administrator surveys and on opinions of the publication鈥檚 staff and counselors and advisers whose opinions they solicit. The Princeton Review also takes into account what each school鈥檚 students reported about their campus experiences in a survey.
The 138 colleges The Princeton Review chose for its 鈥淏est in the Southeast鈥 designations are located in 12 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
Collectively, the 644 colleges named to the four regional lists constitute about 25 percent of the nation鈥檚 2,500 four-year colleges.
