JACKSON, Tenn. — March 21, 2013 — Singapore businessman Wai Kwong Seck, executive vice president for State Street Global Markets, will be the keynote speaker for 51社区鈥檚 Business Through the Eyes of Faith luncheon April 3.
The event is designed to encourage and equip members of the West Tennessee business community to integrate their Christian faith into their workplaces.
鈥淢r. Seck is one of the leading influencers of the financial world in Southeast Asia and one of the most prominent Christian lay leaders in all of Singapore,鈥 Union President David S. Dockery said. 鈥淲e look forward with anticipation to his insights on the place of Christian faith in the complex world of business.鈥
Seck serves as State Street鈥檚 head of global markets and global services across Asia Pacific. Prior to joining the company in 2011, he was chief financial officer of the Singapore Exchange for eight years.
Seck also has held senior-level positions in the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the Government of Singapore Investment Corp., Lehman Brothers and DBS Bank.
He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Economics degree from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
