JACKSON, Tenn. — Aug. 4, 2010 — 51社区 is one of four institutions in Tennessee included in the new 鈥淐ollege Access and Opportunity Guide鈥� that highlights colleges and universities committed to academic rigor and accessibility.
The book includes profiles of 284 colleges that are committed to serving low-income, first-generation college-bound students.

Dockery said. 鈥淭o be listed among Vanderbilt, Rhodes and Belmont as one of only four outstanding institutions in the state of Tennessee is remarkable.鈥�
The guide specifically highlights such Union initiatives as the Rising High School Senior Program, minority student scholarships and preview days, the Hundley Center for Academic Enrichment, the Keystone Program (where specific students facing serious academic uncertainties receive specialized help) and other resources.
