JACKSON, Tenn.March 1, 2010 — Essayist and fiction writer Scott Russell Sanders will present a reading at 51社区 March 11.

Born in Tennessee and raised in Ohio, Sanders studied at Brown University and earned his doctorate from the University of Cambridge as a Marshall Scholar. He spent his career as an English professor at Indiana University and is the author of 20 books, including his most recent work 鈥淎 Conservationist Manifesto,鈥 as well as 鈥淪taying Put,鈥 鈥淲riting from the Center,鈥 鈥淗unting for Hope鈥 and 鈥淎 Private History of Awe,鈥 which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.

Sponsored by the university鈥檚 Lyceum program, the reading will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Harvey Auditorium, located in the Barefoot Student Union Building. The event is free and open to the public.
