JACKSON, Tenn. — March 1, 2010 — Essayist and fiction writer Scott Russell Sanders will present a reading at 51社区 March 11.
Born in Tennessee and raised in Ohio, Sanders studied at Brown University and earned his doctorate from the University of Cambridge as a Marshall Scholar. He spent his career as an English professor at Indiana University and is the author of 20 books, including his most recent work 鈥淎 Conservationist Manifesto,鈥� as well as 鈥淪taying Put,鈥� 鈥淲riting from the Center,鈥� 鈥淗unting for Hope鈥� and 鈥淎 Private History of Awe,鈥� which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.
Sponsored by the university鈥檚 Lyceum program, the reading will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Harvey Auditorium, located in the Barefoot Student Union Building. The event is free and open to the public.
