JACKSON, Tenn. — July 25, 2008 — Bryan Carrier has been named assistant dean of students at 51社区.
Carrier comes to Union from Westminster College in Fulton, Mo., where he served as director of residential and Greek life. Prior to that, he held several positions at Trinity Christian College, including assistant dean of students, residence life and housing coordinator, residence director and director of student activities.
鈥淏ryan brings with him significant higher education experience and a passion for college student development,鈥 said Kimberly Thornbury, Union鈥檚 dean of students. 鈥淗is pastoral heart, knowledge of best practices in student life and genuine love for students will be a wonderful addition to the Union team.鈥
As assistant dean of students, Carrier will also serve as the university鈥檚 chief judicial officer. He will be responsible to oversee campus security, residence life and events coordination.
Originally from O鈥橣allon, Mo., Carrier is a 1998 graduate of MidAmerica Nazarene University. He completed a Master of Education degree in college student affairs from Azusa Pacific University.
Carrier and his wife Tricia have two sons 鈥 Clayton, 4, and Trent, 2.
