Al & Karen Hodges

The Hodges have served as IMB missionaries to West Africa since their appointment in 1978. They have served in Burkina Faso (formerly Upper Volta); the Democratic Republic of the Congo (formerly Zaire); Togo and currently Senegal. They have served as church planters, seminary professor and mission administrator. Dr. Hodges currently is a cluster coordinator. He coordinates the work of the IMB in five West African countries targeting approximately 50 U n reached West African People Groups for evangelism. 

Al holds a B.A. degree from Arkansas State University, the M. Div. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and the D. Min. from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Karen attended Williams Baptist College, Arkansas State University, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Both Al and Karen studied at the Institut Linguistique de Tourrain in Tours, France. 

In addition to Heather, who is a freshman at 51ÉçÇø this fall, the Hodges have two grown sons, Jared and Adam.
