Tim and Joan have served as International Mission Board missionaries in East Africa since their appointment in December of 1988. After completing Swahili language study they served for 10 years as church planters among the nearly 4 million Luo people along the shores of Lake Victoria in southwestern Kenya. The last three years they have served as the cluster coordinator to the Nilotic people groups in northern Kenya, northern Uganda, part of southern Sudan and a small section of Tanzania. This ministry includes working with International Mission Board missionary teams working among the Turkana, Karamojong, Samburu, Massai, Pokot, Jur Modo, Kaliko, Japadhola and other Nilotic unreached people groups. Tim received the bachelor of arts degree from Grand Canyon University and the master of divinity degree from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. Joan attended Grand Canyon University and Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.
