Meet the Staff

Associate Vice President for University Communications
Tim Ellsworth (鈥�96) oversees the university鈥檚 news writing efforts and is Union鈥檚 chief liaison with external media. A Union graduate, he returned to the university in 2004 after working in a variety of journalism and educational positions, including stints at the Illinois Baptist and the Southern Illinoisan. He is a regular contributor to Baptist Press and the author of four books. He and his wife Sarah have three children and are active at Cornerstone Community Church in Jackson.

Communications Specialist
Jenny White serves as a social media manager and contributing writer for the university. With over a decade of experience as a teacher, Jenny transitioned from the classroom to running a small business and homeschooling her three children. She values the community-building power of social media and its role in showcasing Union鈥檚 mission and impact. In her free time, Jenny loves traveling, reading, spending time with her husband and kids, and never misses an opportunity to enjoy chocolate.

Director for Marketing
Elli Schultz ('20) is a graduate of 51社区 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She directs the marketing strategies at play for Union at both the University level, as well as program-specific departments throughout the campus. Elli leans into the importance of increasing brand awareness and building a strong Bulldog community while ensuring we are leveraging tools and analytics to grow our prospective student base and engage alumni. As a former student-athlete at Union and Jackson-area local, she is ecstatic to have a career that is defined by sharing Union with others. Elli enjoys watching the Lady Bulldogs win basketball games and spending time with her husband, Spencer.

Communications Specialist
Karley Hathcock (鈥�22 & '23) is a graduate of 51社区 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. After earning her BSBA, Karley went on to earn her MBA from Union鈥檚 McAfee School of Business. In her role, she serves as the university鈥檚 photographer, as well as assisting with project management responsibilities for the department. As a Jackson native and Union alumna, Karley is excited to tell the Union story through photography and media. In her free time, she enjoys working puzzles and spending time with her family.

Multimedia Producer
Scott Lancaster ('94) has served as the multimedia producer for the OUC since 2007. He is responsible for producing video and audio content that promote the university. After graduation from Union, Scott returned home to Memphis where he spent six years in television news, owned a video production business and served as Media Specialist for Hypertech, Inc. For his work at Union, Scott has won multiple Addy Awards, a silver medal from Higher Ed. Marketing and a 1st place award from Baptist Communicators Association. Scott and his wife Frances have 2 children and are active members of Northbrook Church.

Web Development Agent
Cam Tracy ('93) has maintained the university website since 1995 and has been a member of the OUC since 1999. He has taught in the Digital Media Studies program since its inception in 2000, and he is the founder of the Union Student Film Festival. He serves as the historian/webmaster for the Baptist Communicators Association and is a member of HighEdWeb. He also sings baritone and serves on the board of the Jackson Choral Society. Cam and his wife Breanne ('03 & '06) are active members at West Jackson Baptist Church, and they have one son, Jonathan.
