JACKSON, Tenn. — Nov. 2, 2005 — 51社区 will begin a master in Christian studies degree program in Germantown in January, according to program director Ken Easley.
The 42-hour program is designed for students already serving on church staffs or church members who are interested in expanding their education. Classes will typically meet one day a week, and the degree can be completed in two years.
鈥淚t鈥檚 for those who want to take their knowledge of the Bible to the next level,鈥 Easley said.
Easley, a former professor at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, will teach the first class, New Testament I, which will begin Jan. 3. All classes in the program will meet at Germantown Baptist Church.
Other classes to be offered will be taught by Christian studies professors from Union鈥檚 main campus in Jackson, or by Memphis-area instructors.
