JACKSON, Tenn. — April 15, 2005 — The social work program at 51社区 will address the issues of prostitution, sexual trafficking and the global sex industry at this year鈥檚 Social Justice Symposium.
The event will be held Monday, April 18, at 7 p.m. in the Harvey Auditorium in the university鈥檚 Student Union Building.
Lisa Thompson, liaison for the abolition of sexual trafficking for the Salvation Army in Washington D.C., will be the speaker. She will identify the various components and current issues regarding the global sex industry and will provide information on ways people can get involved in anti-trafficking efforts.
A question and answer session will follow her address.
