JACKSON, Tenn.March 3, 2005 — The Phi Alpha Theta chapter at 51社区 presented library director Steve Baker with a check for $250 Thursday, March 3, to purchase nine new history books for the Union library.

Phi Alpha Theta is a national history honor society. Union's chapter in October received the Best Chapter Award from the national office for the second straight year, and the funds for the library came with the award.

"The competition is always intense with multiple chapters vying for this award," said Graydon Tunstall, executive director for Phi Alpha Theta. "However, the Delta Psi chapter (at Union) truly stood out among its competitors."
