JACKSON, Tenn. — Feb. 19, 2004 — Eight student teams participated in Wild and Wacky Games Feb. 17 during homecoming week. The games are part of the week's Presidential Homecoming Cup competition. Each team consisted of 10 to 15 people from campus organizations, including the Student Activities Council, Freshman Council, the sophomore and junior classes, Alpha Tau Omega and Union's three sororities.
The winner of the competition, Alpha Tau Omega, won first place and received points toward the Presidential Homecoming Cup competition.
Games included Bulldog Spell-Out, in which teams spelled words with their bodies, and Point of Contact, in which teams held as many people as possible off the ground with as few points of contact as possible. The teams also played a life-size version of Rock, Paper, Scissors.
Other factors in the Presidential Homecoming Cup competition include participation in the adopt-an-athlete program, banner competition and homecoming displays. The winner of the cup will be announced Saturday, Feb. 21, at halftime of the men's basketball game against Lee University.
