JACKSON, Tenn. — Dec. 9, 2002 — Approximately 210 graduating seniors from 51社区 will take part in commencement exercises to be held Saturday, Dec. 14 at West Jackson Baptist Church at 11 a.m.
Preceding the graduation ceremony, a brunch for the graduates will start at 8:30 a.m. in the Coburn Dining Room in the Student Union Building on Union鈥檚 campus. There will also be a reception at 9 a.m. where Raymond and Ann Boston will be honored with the Craig Service Award for their service to the university.
The featured speaker at this year鈥檚 graduation event will be O. S. Hawkins, president and chief executive officer of the Southern Baptist Convention Annuity Board. Hawkins is a frequent speaker at pastors鈥� conferences, conventions and churches across the country. Hawkins, a native of Texas, holds degrees from Texas Christian University and from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
