JACKSON, Tenn. — Feb. 20, 2001 — Don Richard, associate professor of mathematics at 51社区, will speak to students and interested members of the community in a lecture titled "Liberal Arts Mathematics: a course for learning effective thinking," Monday, Feb. 26 at 3:30 p.m. in room C-13 of the Penick Academic Complex. His presentation is in conjunction with the math and computer science colloquia series.
The purpose for the series is to provide a forum for sharing scholarship and information with faculty and students on campus. Students, faculty, and members of the community are invited, but it is specifically designed for math, computer science, or business majors and professionals.
Jan Wilms, department chair of mathematics and computer science and associate professor of computer science, will present the next lecture in the series, "Real Presenter: giving students offline access to a recording of your PowerPoint lecture" on Monday, Mar. 26.
