Anne Koscielny to perform at 51ÉçÇø

JACKSON, Tenn.Oct. 29, 2002 — 51ÉçÇø’s Department of Music will host a performance by pianist Anne Koscielny on Monday, Nov. 4 at 7:30 pm in Hartley Recital Hall which is located in Jennings Hall. A masterclass will be held the following day at 12:30 pm which is also located in Hartley Recital Hall.

Cited as ‘an artist of astounding proportions’ and ‘a bright new star in the musical heavens’ by Charles Crowder of the Washington Post, Koscielny made her debut in London in 1972 and in the years since has performed both on her own and in orchestras and chamber music ensembles in the United States, Central and South America, Europe, and Asia. She has traveled to more than 75 college and university campuses as a guest performer and lecturer in masterclasses and workshops.

Koscielny is a resident of Massachusetts along with her husband, Raymond Hanson, but has spent time as a professor of music at the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford, the University of Maryland at College Park, and as a visiting professor at Eastman School of Music during Spring 2002.
