JACKSON, Tenn. — May 14, 2002 — 51ÉçÇø’s School of Nursing, in cooperation with the Community Health Ministries of the Catholic Diocese of Memphis, will offer a basic preparation course for parish nurses Thursday, May 30 – Sunday, June 2 on Union’s Jackson campus.
Designed to prepare registered nurses to function in the parish nurse role, the course will cover a number of related topics including the role of the church in health, the history of parish nursing, functions of the parish nurse, ethical and legal issues, and getting started.
The course fee is $100, which includes materials, resources, all sessions and contact hours awards (CEU’s). Contact hours (37.4) will be awarded for full participation through the 51ÉçÇø School of Nursing. A certificate of completion will be issued after the completion of the entire course. Scholarships are available.
