JACKSON, Tenn. — Dec. 18, 2024 — Tennessee students who graduated in December have until Jan. 6 to enroll in graduate programs at 51社区 and still be eligible for the Tennessee HOPE Scholarship.
鈥淚n 2023, the state of Tennessee extended HOPE Scholarship eligibility to five years, as long as students maintain continuous enrollment,鈥 said Colby Benefield, Union鈥檚 director of financial aid. 鈥淭hat means that students who complete their undergraduate degrees in less than five years can still qualify for significant financial assistance for graduate degrees until their five-year clock runs out.鈥
All Tennessee residents who previously received the HOPE Scholarship and maintained the required grade point average are eligible. The HOPE Scholarship provides $4,500 to students annually for the first two years and $5,700 annually after that.
With 18 graduate programs in nine areas of study, Union offers a variety of options for students who are interested in continuing their education. Union offers graduate degrees in athletic training, biology, business, education, music, nursing, pharmacy, social work and theology and missions.
鈥淲hatever graduate degree students choose to pursue, they will find a Christ-centered program characterized by excellence that will help prepare them for success in life and career,鈥 said Brooke Emery, Union鈥檚 dean of graduate admissions. 鈥淢any of our programs are available online or with flexible scheduling that accommodate for working professionals.鈥
