JACKSON, Tenn. — Sept. 11, 2024 — Mark David Hall, professor in the Robertson School of Government at Regent University, will speak at 51社区鈥檚 annual Constitution Day lectures Sept. 17 in the Carl Grant Events Center.
Hall is a scholar of early America and has argued for the importance of Christianity in America鈥檚 flourishing. He has written, edited or co-edited a dozen books, including 鈥淲ho鈥檚 Afraid of Christian Nationalism: Why Christian Nationalism is Not an Existential Threat to American or the Church,鈥 鈥淧roclaim Liberty Through All the Land: How Christianity Has Advanced Freedom and Equality for All Americans鈥 and 鈥淒id America Have a Christian Founding?鈥 among other titles.
He will speak at 2 p.m. on 鈥淲hy Tolerate Religion? The Rise and Fall of Religious Liberty in America鈥 and at 7 p.m. on 鈥淭ilting at Windmills: The 鈥楾hreat鈥 of Christian Nationalism.鈥
The lectures are free and open to the public.
