JACKSON, Tenn. — Feb. 15, 2024 — 51社区鈥檚 McAfee School of Business will host Alan Barnhart, president and CEO of Barnhart Crane and Rigging, for its annual Faith in the Marketplace luncheon March 1.
Barnhart Crane and Riggins is a family-owned business that originated in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1969 and has grown to be one of the largest heavy lift and transport organizations in the nation. Barnhart and his family made decisions early to avoid the pitfalls of wealth and to pursue opportunities of stewardship by donating significant portions of their profits to charity.
Barnhart has worked for the company since he was 10 years old and has been CEO since 1986. The company now has offices in 40 cities across the country and has grown an average of 18 percent annually for 36 years.
Karen Miller, dean of the McAfee School of Business, said the Faith in the Marketplace Luncheon is a great chance for students to experience successful business leaders who have excelled as Christian leaders in business. She added that the luncheon provides local business leaders the opportunity to learn more about the strategic integration of faith and the workplace.
The Faith in the Marketplace luncheon is open to the public and will take place at 12 p.m. in the Carl Grant Events Center. Cost is $25 per seat or $180 per table of eight. Registration closes Feb. 26 and is available online at .
