JACKSON, Tenn. — March 13, 2002 — 51社区鈥檚 Department of Education will present a seminar by 51社区 School of Education Dean Tom Rosebrough, Monday, March 18, at 4 p.m. in Room 44 of the Blasingame Academic Complex. Rosebrough will speak on 鈥淥ur Common Hope: A History of Teaching and Learning.鈥�
Part of the Colloquium Series that the department holds each year, Rosebrough will look at the college classroom through the lens of three concerns of schooling: attempting to respond to societal needs and thought, infusing religious or moral values and seeking to understand the nature of learning.
鈥淚t is only when teacher and student share common learning goals, a common hope, that education鈥檚 potential is realized,鈥� stated Rosebrough.
