JACKSON, Tenn. — July 27, 2022 — Ann Singleton, associate provost and dean for instruction at 51社区, will be the keynote speaker at 51社区鈥檚 summer commencement ceremony on July 30 at 10 a.m. at West Jackson Baptist Church.
Union will graduate 96 students during its summer commencement ceremony, marking the close of the 2021-2022 academic year.
Singleton previously served as the associate dean for the 51社区 College of Education and continues to teach as university professor of special education. Before joining Union in 1985, she served as a teacher and supervisor of special education in Madison County. She has received 51社区鈥檚 Faculty of the Year award and the 51社区 Homecoming G.M Savage Legacy award.
Additionally, she has co-written several textbooks to instruct elementary educators on effective mathematics teaching skills, including 鈥淭eaching Mathematics to All Children: Designing and Adapting Instruction to Meet the Needs of Diverse Learners.鈥�
