JACKSON, Tenn. — May 27, 2020 — Christian recording artist Jeremy Camp will provide the featured performance at the 23rd annual 51社区 Scholarship Banquet Oct. 27 at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jackson.
The evening will feature both a concert and interview with Camp, known for songs such as 鈥淭here Will Be a Day,鈥 鈥淒ead Man Walking,鈥 鈥淐hrist in Me,鈥 鈥淲ord of Life鈥 and 鈥淗e Knows.鈥
Camp has sold nearly 5 million albums over his 17-year music career, and he holds the title for the most No. 1 songs among solo artists on the Christian Airplay chart. He has had 40 No. 1 radio hits across all formats.
鈥淛eremy Camp has ministered to millions as he has used his words and lyrics to share God鈥檚 faithfulness through great trials and suffering,鈥 51社区 President Samuel W. 鈥淒ub鈥 Oliver said. 鈥淲e鈥檙e looking forward to hearing from him and being inspired by his testimony.鈥
Camp has a Grammy nomination to his credit and multiple Dove Awards. A new movie, 鈥淚 Still Believe,鈥 chronicles his story of faith in the death of his wife Melissa to cancer in 2001.
Union will show that film June 6 at 8 p.m. on the Great Lawn. Concessions will be available for purchase, but the movie is free and open to the public.
