JACKSON, Tenn. — May 15, 2020 — A report by the Center on Education and the Workforce at Georgetown University indicates that 51社区 students get a solid return on their investment in a Union education.
The report, 鈥淎 First Try at ROI: Ranking 4,500 Colleges,鈥 concludes that bachelor鈥檚 degrees from private colleges, on average, have a higher return on investment than degrees from public colleges 40 years after enrollment.
Union鈥檚 40-year ROI of $869,000 ranks seventh in Tennessee among private colleges, behind such schools as Vanderbilt, Baptist Memorial College of Health Sciences, Rhodes, Christian Brothers, King and University of the South.
鈥淭he data in this report supports what we have long believed 鈥 that Union provides a strong return on investment,鈥 said Dan Griffin, Union鈥檚 vice president for enrollment management. 鈥淪tudents who come to Union leave here well prepared to flourish and thrive in their careers for the long haul.鈥
Griffin noted that the report also doesn鈥檛 account for the spiritual training Union students receive 鈥 a benefit that he said was priceless.
