JACKSON, Tenn. — May 18, 2018 — Daniel L. Dreisbach, professor in the School of Public Affairs at American University in Washington, D.C., will be the keynote speaker at 51社区鈥檚 193rd annual spring commencement May 19.
About 675 students will receive their degrees during the two ceremonies.
Dreisbach is the author or editor of 10 books, including 鈥淭homas Jefferson and the Wall of Separation between Church and State鈥 and 鈥淩eading the Bible with the Founding Fathers.鈥 He earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Oxford University, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia.
Dreisbach has lectured at more than 100 universities, colleges, law schools and seminaries and has made frequent appearances on local and national media.
The graduation ceremony for graduate and Bachelor of Science in organizational leadership students will begin at 2 p.m. The ceremony for all undergraduates (excluding BSOL students) will begin at 6 p.m. Both ceremonies will take place at Oman Arena and will be shown live at .
