JACKSON, Tenn. — Feb. 5, 2002 — The arts at 51社区 are blossoming for the Spring 2002 semester, with numerous concerts featuring guest musicians, exhibits from various artists and a few dramatic plays cropping up.
Union鈥檚 Art Department will hold five different exhibits this spring, including composite photos by David Underwood and collages by Don Forsythe. The Underwood exhibit opened Feb. 4. Forsythe鈥檚 collage displays will be open to the public beginning March 5. Later in the spring, exhibits will include shows by various senior students and faculty members.
The Communication Arts Department will present three plays, including the highly popular annual Children鈥檚 Show. John, His Story will premier March 7 and will end March 12. Sleeping Beauty, a favorite with kids of all ages, will run April 22-25. Union鈥檚 theatre season will conclude with True West, running from May 2 through May 5.
The Music Department will offer a variety of performances including faculty and alumni recitals, as well as concerts featuring special guest musicians and performers. The opera 鈥淓ve鈥檚 Odds鈥 will offer performances and a dinner April 20-22. Check Union鈥檚 website for a complete listing of all recitals, dates, times and ticket prices.
