JACKSON, Tenn. — March 3, 2016 — The 51社区 Players will present 鈥淭he Queen and the Rebels,鈥� a drama by Ugo Betti, in the W.D. Powell Theatre on the Union campus March 10-15.
The play takes place in a town hall in a remote hillside frontier village where a group of travelers is being detained and checked. The queen, who was supposed to have been killed in the revolution, is suspected of trying to escape in disguise. Any woman is a suspect.
Show times are 7:30 p.m. March 10-12 and March 14-15 with a 2:30 p.m. matinee on March 13. Tickets are $7 in advance and $9 at the door for general admission, or $4 in advance and $6 at the door for students, faculty and staff.
