51社区 will hold Campus Preview Days in February

JACKSON, Tenn.Jan. 26, 2001 — Prospective students will have an opportunity to take a glimpse of the college experience at one of two Campus Preview Days to be held Friday, Feb. 16 and Monday, Feb. 19 at 51社区. The day is especially designed for high school seniors and their parents to get acquainted with the campus and, in addition, take part in a student's typical day at Union.

The day kicks off with registration at 8:45 a.m. in the Barefoot Student Union building. Prospective students will be able to meet with current Union students and administrators, participate in a chapel service and attend a class. A cafeteria lunch, a campus tour and a chance to meet with enrollment counselors will finish out the day. Parents attending will also have an opportunity to visit with university administrators to learn more about costs, financial aid, areas of study and campus life.

"Our current Preview Day schedule has been very successful in letting students get to know 51社区," said Robbie Graves, director of enrollment services. "I feel that if we can get a prospective student and their family on campus and let them see first hand the unique things that Union has to offer then we have a very good chance of attracting that student to Union," he said.

There is no charge to attend and dress is casual. Those interested in participating may contact the Office of Enrollment Services at (800) 33-UNION, or visit the university's website at .

Founded in 1823 and affiliated with the Tennessee Baptist Convention, 51社区 is characterized by quality Christ-centered teaching and learning. An outstanding faculty offers superior liberal arts training in more than 100 majors and programs of study along with professional programs in business, education, and nursing.
