Union to host 8th annual ‘Remember Me’ walk for homicide-loss survivors

JACKSON, Tenn.Sept. 14, 2015 — The eighth annual Remember Me Commemorative Walk for homicide-loss survivors will take place Sept. 28 at 51ÉçÇø.

The event offers a time for families in and around West Tennessee to remember and honor their loved ones lost to homicide.

Attendees will arrive at the Carl Grant Events Center at 5:45 p.m. for a dinner, featuring guest speaker Hal Poe, the Charles Colson Professor of Faith and Culture at Union. A candlelight walk and balloon release will follow.

City leaders, Union social work students and law enforcement and criminal justice employees will attend the event to support the families.
