JACKSON, Tenn.Jan. 6, 2015 — Dan Griffin has been named vice president for enrollment management at 51社区 and will oversee the university鈥檚 offices of undergraduate admissions and financial aid.

Griffin has been vice president for enrollment and marketing at Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa Falls, Georgia, for three years. He implemented a new integrated enrollment and marketing plan there that led to a 17 percent enrollment increase after five straight years of decline.

鈥淚 am excited for Dan to join our team at Union as he is a product of Christ-centered higher education, understands the unique challenges and opportunities of Union, has served faithfully at sister Christian colleges and has a vision for how we might advance the mission and vision of Union,鈥 Union President Samuel W. 鈥淒ub鈥 Oliver said.

A native of Union, Missouri, Griffin completed his bachelor鈥檚 degree in business administration from Columbia Southern University and earned his master鈥檚 degree in strategic leadership at Mountain State University. He also holds a Bible certificate from Columbia International University.

Prior to his position at Toccoa Falls, Griffin was director of financial aid at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and director of admissions and student financial services at Columbia International University.

鈥淚 am both honored and humbled to be given this opportunity to join the enrollment team at 51社区,鈥 Griffin said. 鈥淔or many years, my family and I have known of Union's commitment to Christ-centered higher education, and we have prayed about the possibility of serving at Union. Therefore, it is with great excitement and gratitude that I look forward to partnering with faculty, staff and students to assist the university with continued success in the enrollment area.

鈥淚 am confident that we can continue to build lasting relationships in the community that will strengthen the strong heritage of 51社区.鈥

Griffin and his wife Christina have five children: Caleb, 11; Faith, 9; Annabeth, 6; Seth 3; and Jacob, 1.

He will begin his position at Union Feb. 1.
