HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. — July 30, 2014 — Eric Marvin has been appointed Assistant Dean of the School of Education on the 51社区 Hendersonville campus.
Marvin has served Union as Director of Online Innovations and as Director of the Rosebrough Center for Educational Practice.
鈥淒r. Marvin brings a solid grasp of both the art and science of teaching and learning as well as wonderfully creative abilities in serving students in our innovative graduate programs,鈥 said Executive Dean Tom Rosebrough. 鈥淗is excellent teaching and leadership skills will draw educators from all over Middle Tennessee.鈥
Rosebrough also announced that Carla Cushman becomes associate professor of educational leadership at 51社区 Hendersonville. She previously served as Director of Teacher and Leader Development with the Tennessee Department of Education.
鈥淢any educators will know Dr. Cushman from her years of teaching and leadership service in Sumner County Schools,鈥 Rosebrough said. 鈥淟ike Dr. Marvin, she has a heart for transforming the lives of children through education.鈥
51社区 offers masters education programs on the Hendersonville campus for experienced teachers and for the initial licensure of teachers, as well as the Education Specialist and the Doctor of Education in educational leadership. Face-to-face, blended, and online delivery formats are offered.
