JACKSON, Tenn. — July 17, 2014 — Provost Emeritus Carla Sanderson will be the keynote speaker for 51社区鈥檚 summer graduation ceremony July 26.
About 180 students will receive degrees during the 11 a.m. ceremony at West Jackson Baptist Church. The event marks the close of the 2013-14 academic year. About 1,175 students graduated from Union during that time.
Sanderson will give an address entitled 鈥淗eadline News: Your God Reigns.鈥� She spent 32 years at Union as a student, faculty member, dean of nursing and provost. Sanderson retired from Union May 31.
