Impact 360 to offer mentorship opportunities for Union MCS students

JACKSON, Tenn.June 3, 2014 — Impact 360 is offering a new opportunity for students enrolled in 51社区鈥檚 online Master of Christian Studies program to get practical experience working with undergraduate students while they complete their studies.

Based in Pine Mountain, Ga., Impact 360 is an academic 鈥済ap year鈥 experience for students transitioning from high school to college, with the mission of equipping them to become Christ-centered servant leaders. The new partnership will provide graduate students with an opportunity to mentor and teach undergraduate students in Impact 360鈥檚 undergraduate program through paid campus assistantships in either residence life or academics.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a fantastic opportunity for students to not only get a top-notch education through Union, but for them to be around the people at Impact 360 who are committed to leadership development,鈥 said Gene Fant, Union鈥檚 former executive vice president for academic administration.

John Basie, director of Impact 360 Masters, said the two-year, 33-hour MCS is ideal for graduate students who want to prepare for careers in higher education, student life and student campus ministry, or who want to do further graduate study.

Students who take advantage of the Union-Impact 360 partnership will have opportunities for weekly coaching with business leaders, educators and certified leadership coaches, Basie said.
