JACKSON, Tenn. — April 11, 2014 — Rich Grimm, 51社区鈥檚 senior vice president for enrollment services, has announced his resignation from Union to accept a position at Trinity International University in Deerfield, Ill.
Grimm will join Union President David S. Dockery, who will assume the Trinity presidency in June, as the institution鈥檚 senior vice president in the areas of enrollment, university services and strategic initiatives.
鈥淩ich Grimm is a talented and multi-gifted leader, who has invested himself for a decade in the life of 51社区,鈥 Dockery said. 鈥淗e is recognized across the world of Christian higher education as one of the truly outstanding enrollment officers because of the quality of his work at Union, Palm Beach Atlantic University and Criswell College.鈥
Dockery said Grimm has also distinguished himself through his leadership and service on key feasibility study teams, on building projects and in strategic planning processes.
鈥淚 know that the Union community will join me in offering thanks to God for the strategic leadership provided by Rich Grimm in key aspects of the life and work of this place,鈥 Dockery said.
A graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University with a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Grimm will assume his new position at Trinity on July 1.
鈥淚t has been our privilege and honor to have been a part of the Union community these past 10 years,鈥 Grimm said. 鈥淲hile leaving our friends and colleagues is difficult and bittersweet, we are excited about this fresh call on our lives. We are humbled by the invitation to join Dr. Dockery鈥檚 new administration at Trinity.鈥
Grimm added that he is 鈥減rofoundly grateful for the opportunity that was ours to serve鈥 at Union and that he is hopeful for the future of the university under the leadership of incoming president Samuel W. 鈥淒ub鈥 Oliver. 鈥淢ay the Lord continue to bless the work of this great university for his glory,鈥 Grimm said.
