JACKSON, Tenn. — March 10, 2014 — Timothy George, founding dean of Beeson Divinity School at Samford University, will speak about the Christian witness in Nazi Germany at the 16th annual Scholar-in-Residence Lecture Series at 51社区 March 20-27.
Professor of church history at Beeson, George serves as the chairman of the Colson Center for Christian Worldview and the Doctrine and Christian Unity Commission of the Baptist World Alliance. He also is a life advisory trustee of Wheaton College, a participant in Evangelical-Roman Catholic Church dialogue and the senior theological adviser for "Christianity Today."
In addition to serving on the editorial advisory boards of 鈥淔irst Things,鈥� 鈥淗arvard Theological Review鈥� and 鈥淏ooks & Culture,鈥� George is the general editor of the 鈥淩eformation Commentary on Scripture鈥� and has written more than 20 books.
