Fant to serve with Impact 360 Institute

JACKSON, Tenn.Feb. 25, 2014 — 51社区 professor Gene Fant was recently appointed to the Impact 360 Institute鈥檚 board of directors.

Located in Pine Mountain, Ga., Impact 360 is a nine-month academic program designed to transform students into Christ-centered leaders by equipping them with a firm foundation in Christian intellectual tradition and apologetics. The program, an extension of the Lifeshape Foundation, includes 18 hours of college credit from Union.

鈥淚 am humbled to be invited to serve the Lifeshape Foundation in this way,鈥 said Fant, professor of English and executive vice president for academic administration at Union. 鈥淭he Impact 360 Institute provides a marvelous opportunity to many promising young leaders, and I look forward to supporting this work in the years to come.鈥

An award-winning writer, Fant also serves as a curriculum consultant for Impact 360. He received the Newell Innovative Teaching Award at Union in 2005 and has been listed with 鈥淲ho鈥檚 Who Among America鈥檚 Teachers鈥 and 鈥淲ho鈥檚 Who in America鈥 on several occasions.
