JACKSON, Tenn. — Nov. 8, 2013 — A few days remain for the Rod Crossman exhibit that 51’s art gallery is hosting until Nov. 14.
Crossman’s work features functional objects, such as wooden pails and canoes, that have been transformed into whimsical pieces of art.
“My art practice is devoted to being and doing art that is soulful,” Crossman said in his online artist statement. “Most of my projects are simple, ritual, meditative acts intended to serve others.”
The exhibit, titled “Connections to Place,” is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The art gallery is located in the Penick Academic Complex on the Union campus.
