JACKSON, Tenn. — Nov. 8, 2013 — A few days remain for the Rod Crossman exhibit that 51社区鈥檚 art gallery is hosting until Nov. 14.
Crossman鈥檚 work features functional objects, such as wooden pails and canoes, that have been transformed into whimsical pieces of art.
鈥淢y art practice is devoted to being and doing art that is soulful,鈥� Crossman said in his online artist statement. 鈥淢ost of my projects are simple, ritual, meditative acts intended to serve others.鈥�
The exhibit, titled 鈥淐onnections to Place,鈥� is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The art gallery is located in the Penick Academic Complex on the Union campus.
