JACKSON, Tenn. — Oct. 24, 2013 — Christianity Today editor Mark Galli will speak at 51社区 Nov. 5 about why Christians should bother with today鈥檚 鈥渂oring and bureaucratic church.鈥�
鈥淚t will be a 鈥榣ittle ecclesiology鈥� in light of some current temptations to either abandon church or to remake it in images that are less than Christ-like,鈥� Galli said.
Galli has spent 24 years as an editor with Christianity Today, Leadership and Christian History magazines. He has written or co-written six books, from biographies (St. Francis of Assisi and a forthcoming book on theologian Karl Barth) to books on spirituality, such as 鈥淛esus Mean and Wild鈥� and 鈥淎 Great and Terrible Love.鈥�
He has also published dozens of articles in a variety of magazines.

Galli鈥檚 address will begin at 7 p.m. in Hartley Recital Hall, located in Jennings Hall on the west end of the Union campus. It is free and open to the public.
