JACKSON, Tenn. — Nov. 21, 2001 — 51社区 will sponsor the Jones Lecture featuring speaker James Chancellor, a foremost authority on Islam in Southern Baptist life, on Monday, Nov. 26 at 10 a.m. in the G. M. Savage Memorial Chapel. He will speak on Islamic fundamentalism and 鈥淭he Moral Structure of Islam.鈥�
Chancellor received his Ph.D. in Islam and World Religions from Duke University and a master鈥檚 degree in history from the University of Nebraska. He holds the W.O. Carver Chair in World Missions and World Religions at Southern Seminary. Prior to this appointment he served as dean at Colorado Christian University.
