JACKSON, Tenn. — March 18, 2013 — Representatives from 16 area school systems will meet with prospective teachers March 21 at 51社区鈥檚 Teacher Expo 2013.
The event will take place from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the Carl Grant Events Center. All graduate and undergraduate education students as well as students in critical shortage areas such as math, biology, physics, chemistry, Spanish, French and English as a second language have been invited to attend.
鈥淭eacher Expo 2013 provides a competitive platform for Union鈥檚 top education students to network and market their talents and gifts to recruiters representing quality school systems,鈥 said Rene茅 Jones, associate director of the Vocatio Center for Life Calling and Career at Union. 鈥淭hese recruiters are seeking the best and brightest from 51社区 to educate and help to develop the minds of tomorrow鈥檚 leaders.鈥
Both public and private institutions will be represented, in both urban and rural school systems.
Participating school systems include: Brinkley Heights Urban Academy, Chester County Schools, Crockett County Schools, DeSoto County Schools, Dyersburg City Schools, Hardeman County Schools, Haywood County Schools, Henderson County Schools, Humboldt City Schools, Jackson-Madison County Schools, Lauderdale County Schools, Milan Special School District, Network of International Christian Schools, Tipton County Board of Education, Trenton Special School District and Trinity Christian Academy.
