Jayne to address Union’s global engagement at Feb. 20 Founders’ Day chapel

JACKSON, Tenn.Feb. 19, 2013 — Cynthia Jayne, associate provost for intercultural and international studies at 51, will be the featured speaker at Union’s annual Founders’ Day chapel service Feb. 20.

Jayne, who also serves as university professor of language, will speak about the history of Union’s international efforts.

“Founders' Day is an important opportunity for the Union community to reflect upon significant achievements in our past that shape our present and give direction for our future,” Union President David S. Dockery said. “It will be a privilege to hear from Dr. Cindy Jayne as she traces the development and expansion of Union’s global involvement through the years.”

The chapel service will be held in the G.M. Savage Memorial Chapel at 10 a.m. It is free and open to the public.
