JACKSON, Tenn. — Feb. 15, 2013 — Terry McRoberts, university professor of music at 51社区, will perform his 21st annual faculty piano recital Feb. 19 at Union.
The program will begin with Dame Myra Hess鈥� arrangement of 鈥淛esu, Joy of Man鈥檚 Desiring.鈥� McRoberts will also perform variations on 鈥淎wariguli鈥� in celebration of the 60th birthday of Chen Yi later this year.
The centerpiece of the program will be the Brahms piano pieces of 鈥淥pus 118,鈥� and McRoberts will also include works by Bach, Mendelssohn and Debussy.
The recital will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Hartley Recital Hall, located in Jennings Hall on the west end of campus. It is free and open to the public.
