Latest Leadership Academy to conclude Nov. 1 at 51社区 Hendersonville

JACKSON, Tenn.Oct. 30, 2012 — 51社区 Hendersonville will hold the final session of its latest Leadership Academy Nov. 1, with class and team activities and an awards luncheon for participants.

The morning session begins at 8:30 a.m., with the luncheon at 11:30. In addition to the awards presentation, the luncheon will provide participants an opportunity to talk about the impact of their academy involvement.

Emily Barton, assistant commissioner for curriculum and instruction at the Tennessee Department of Education, will give a final presentation at 12:30 p.m. In addition, Del Phillips, director of schools for Sumner County, and Ted Wise, chairman of the Sumner County School Board, will assist with the presentation ceremony.

The Leadership Academy at 51社区 Hendersonville is an ongoing program designed for teachers and administrators in Sumner County schools. All participants receive professional in-service credit and may apply for three hours of graduate-level credit from Union for completing the program.
